The Heavy Boot Socks are designed and constructed for winter use. These are now over the calf in length to be worn with high-top winter boots. These socks are designed to insulate against the cold with a fully cushioned inner protecting the foot on the top and the sole. The wool works to keep your feet dry and free of infections during those days when you don't want to be taking your socks off. Keep them on in your sleeping bag as these don't get smelly like synthetics.
These are socks you can rely on in the depths of winter.

"Just back from cross country skiing in Northern Finland, Armadillo boot socks ensured my feet were warm and cushioned all day. Turned inside out, they dried overnight and were good for second day. I'd prefer a shorter length, hence 4 stars instead of 5, but I'd recommend."

Warm and dry
"I found Armadillo Merino through a U.S. Marine who praised their products. These heavy socks were not available at the USA location, so I ordered from the UK store. Shipping overseas took a bit, but Andy C was on top of it, and was excellent to work with. These socks are as described: thick, hold their shape, comfortable, and very warm. As with any extreme cold temps, I’d suggested a thinner merino sock as a base layer under these, with a good waterproof boot. I am extremely happy with these, with Andy’s customer service and kindness, and I would certainly suggest Armadillo Merino to anyone. Class acts!"
